Valencia

Varietal Spanish, introduced in the USA in 1878 and Tunisia in 1959. It is the most important orange in the world. It ranks first in several citrus farms.
The fruit of the Valencia is medium to large, round, slightly oblong. The color of the epidermis and light yellow orange, with a smooth and smooth bark, easy to peel when ripe. The very juicy fine flesh is slightly acidulous. The juice rate is high, with good flavor. Pips are few in number (2 to 4 per fruit).
Average fruit weight: 240 grams
A dual-purpose variety that is appreciated both for fresh consumption and for the production of juice.
The harvest of this variety is the latest of all the Oranges (from April to June), and the fruit can be kept on tree for several months without losing its quality.
